About Oslo Sea Experience

Boutique private fjord cruises out of Oslo. Three captains, one Norwegian-designed Cormate T28 — small, private, planned around the people on board.

Oslo Sea Experience started in 2024 with a simple idea: the Oslofjord is one of the most beautiful stretches of water in Scandinavia, and most visitors never see it properly. The big tour boats follow fixed routes. The kayak tours stay close to shore. We wanted something different — small groups, a fast and comfortable boat, and a captain who actually knows the fjord.

Two seasons and 64 five-star reviews later, that idea hasn't changed. We run private tours for up to seven guests aboard a Norwegian-designed Cormate T28 daycruiser, departing from Tjuvholmen in central Oslo. Every trip is different because every group is different — some want sunset and champagne, others want island-hopping and swimming, some want the full history of Oslo from the water.

We're three captains — Simon, Adrian, and Are — and we handle everything ourselves: the booking, the boat, the snacks, the drone footage, and the stories. No middlemen, no script, no rush.

The Crew

Meet the Captains

Captain Simon

Co-founder & Captain

Norwegian, English, French, German

Simon co-founded Oslo Sea Experience in 2020 after years of sailing the Oslofjord. He knows every island, inlet, and hidden beach between Tjuvholmen and Drøbak. Guests know him for tailoring each trip on the fly — whether that means finding a sheltered cove for swimming, catching the best angle of the Oslo Opera House at sunset, or sharing the story behind Dyna Lighthouse. He handles drone photography on most tours, so you leave with aerial footage of your trip.

Captain Adrian

Co-founder & Captain

Norwegian, English, French, German

Adrian is Simon's brother and the other half of Oslo Sea Experience. He brings a calm, detail-oriented style to the helm — the captain guests describe as "making you feel safe the second you step aboard." Adrian runs the longer luxury experiences and corporate events, where his ability to read a group and adapt the day's plan makes the difference between a good trip and an unforgettable one. He's also the one keeping the Cormate T28 in pristine condition.

Captain Are

Captain

Norwegian, English, Spanish, German

Are joined the crew bringing deep local knowledge and an infectious enthusiasm for the Oslofjord's history. From Viking-era trading routes to the military fortress on Oscarsborg, he turns every stretch of water into a story. He's the captain most likely to spot harbour porpoises — and to know exactly why they're there. Guests consistently highlight his warmth, flexibility, and the way he makes everyone feel like they're on a trip with a friend, not a guide.

Our Fleet

The Cormate T28

We chose the Cormate T28 because it's built for exactly what we do. Designed and manufactured in Norway, it handles the Oslofjord's open water with ease while keeping things comfortable — deep cockpit, generous seating, a proper sound system, and enough space for seven guests to move around without feeling crowded.

It's fast enough to reach the outer islands in minutes, quiet enough to hold a conversation at cruising speed, and good-looking enough that people on shore stop to watch it go by. We maintain it ourselves to the standards you'd expect from a vessel that represents your experience.
