Every land day is private. Before you arrive we ask about preferences, allergies, and pace, and build the day from the answers. The walks and the chauffeured days can be booked directly online; the packages we put together with you by email.

About the walks
Half day or full day, you travel in a private luxury vehicle with two of us on the job: a chauffeur who stays with the car, and a guide who stays with you. Both days start in the middle of the city and end well above it. One car takes up to six guests; for larger groups we add a second car.

Start on the Opera House roof with Oslo below you, then Akershus Fortress, Karl Johan, and Vigeland Park, before the road climbs past Holmenkollen to Frognerseteren, 435 metres above the city. Entry tickets are included, and the schedule runs at your group's pace.

Everything in the half day, spread over eight hours. We book a lunch table along the route, and in the afternoon you walk the last stretch from the car to a camp by a lake in Nordmarka. Food and drinks at the water's edge, coffee and cake, and entry tickets are included; in summer you can try your hand at fishing.
Three combinations of land and fjord. Each package costs less than the parts booked separately, and you keep the same hosts on land and on the water.

Day one is the full See Oslo day by car, up to the viewpoints above the city. Day two is a three-hour private cruise on the fjord. The city is the focus here, with the camp in Nordmarka as the wilder end of day one.

Morning on the fjord with one of our captains. In the afternoon the car takes you up to Frognerseteren and into Nordmarka. This is the day to choose if nature is the point.

The food walk through the city in the afternoon, then a sunset cruise on the fjord the same evening. It is the most urban of the three: Oslo's restaurants first, then the fjord as the light goes.
The two walks start from the same preference sheet as the chauffeured days. Each takes about four hours.

Before you arrive we send a short preference sheet: art or history, fortress or markets, how much walking suits the group, what to skip. The walk is put together from your answers, so no two run the same route. Your guide takes you on foot, with the tram where it saves time. We keep it to eight guests per guide, and a larger group walks with two.

Four hours through Oslo's food scene, set up around what you like to eat. The stops usually include Theatercaféen, Kafeteria August, and Engebret (Oslo's oldest café, running since 1857), and they shift with the season and with your answers on the preference sheet. The guide books each stop in advance and orders for the table, so you skip the queues.

Prices are per group, not per person. They include the guide, the car and chauffeur on the half and full days, entry tickets, coffee stops, and the food and drinks at the camp in Nordmarka.
Land days run in English, Norwegian, Spanish, and French.

See Oslo is run by Oslo Sea Experience, the company behind the private cruises from Tjuvholmen — the highest rated private experience in Oslo. On land you get the same hosts, and any of the three can lead any of the days.
Simon runs the boat and hosts the land days between turns at the wheel. Book a package and he may be the one who takes you from the city out onto the water.
Adrian hosts city and forest alike. Ask him on the road up to Frognerseteren what lives in Nordmarka, and set aside some time for the answer.
Are carries the city's history: why Karl Johan runs where it does, what once stood on Hovedøya. It comes up along the way, wherever you happen to be standing.
In winter the car still climbs to Frognerseteren. At the lake we light a bonfire instead of setting up the summer camp, and the afternoon can include a cross-country skiing lesson in the tracks above the city, or snowshoes if the group prefers to walk.
In December it is dark by four, so we start earlier and end the day at the fire. Winter days are planned individually — write to us with your dates.
